“This is a state-of-the-art benzene litigation conference,” said co-chairman Metzger, who said the panel will “update benzene litigators regarding benzene-containing products currently in litigation, cases regarding the benzene metabolite hydroquinone, recent scientific research identifying benzene-related chromosomes and genes which can be used to establish causation, new studies regarding benzene's ability to cause various hematologic cancers, and jury selection and persuasion in benzene cases.”
Metzger noted there also will be a mock expert examination and cross-examination and a corporate roundtable.
“Litigators will learn about new governmental action recognizing benzene as an occupational cause of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and multiple myeloma,” Metzger added.
In addition to Metzger, California-based speakers include: Hon.
